This free of charge preparatory course supports you in learning the “CGC Roundabout for Digital Transformation” methodology by deepening the contents of the methodology manual in a compact way. You will also learn how to immediately apply and reflect on your new knowledge of the CGC DigiTrans method through practical exercises.
This course includes several valuable case examples in which you can immediately put the knowledge you have learnt into practice. The case examples are structured in such a way that they cover several realistic counselling scenarios In the course you will also get to know how to expand their personal network for counselling and how to adopt the method in their local context.
INSTRUCTIONS:
We recommend going through the six sessions in order, as they build on each other. As a rule, each session consists of an introductory video and a self-learning task using worksheets and solution outlines for self-study tasks.
1. Please watch the videos first. They will introduce you to the session.
2. Then download the tasks using the download button. Complete the tasks.
3. After completing the tasks, sample solutions will support you in self-monitoring. We recommend to download and read the methodology handbook as well.
The entire course lasts approximately 4 hours. You can interrupt the sessions at any time and continue at a later date.
Target group: The methodology and the preparatory course are aimed in particular at counsellors in career guidance and counselling (CGC), but also at counsellors at training providers or counsellors in the HR area of companies.
Session 1: Introduction
Session 1 introduces you to the CGC-DigiTrans preparatory course. In this session you will learn:
– Why a new counselling methodology is necessary.
– How you can find out more about this CGC-DigiTrans methodology by using this preparatory course and our handbook.
– How this preparatory course can help you in applying the methodology.
– How this preparatory course is structured.
– Backgrounds of this preparatory course.
Session 2: Digital Competences
Session 2 introduces you to digital competences. In this session you will learn what digital competences are and their importance within working and everyday life (for instance as a part of future competences).
Session 3: Roundabout Method
Session 3 introduces you to the Roundabout Method, especially the six phases in more detail.
Session 4: Exemplary Application of CGC Roundabout
In session 4 you will learn to differentiate the phases of the CGC Roundabout for Digital Transformation and reflect about crucial success factors for each phase.
Session 5: Transfer of CGC Roundabout to Local Contexts
Session 5 is about transferring the CGC Roundabout for Digital Transformation to your local context. In session 5 you will reflect about how the CGC Roundabout for Digital Transformation can be transferred and adjusted to your local specialities.
Session 6: Networking
Session 6 is about networking. In this session you will learn about the local implementation of the networking steps provided in the CGC Roundabout for Digital Transformation.
